Reaching the Summit
When we reach the summit, we think of our climb, and the invariable highs and lows associated with it. Climbers generally come down from the summit, perhaps after savouring the view.
But not so with the Chartered Marketer program. When learners in our first cohort complete the final course in the Chartered Marketer program – the Chartered Marketer Summit Course – early in 2021, they are in fact committing to maintaining their foothold on the summit of marketing expertise for the entirety of their careers.
This week, we are putting the final wraps on the Chartered Marketer Summit Course. A big shout-out to Gabriele Janes (VP, Learning), Stephen Ghigliotty (AVP, Curriculum Development) and the entire development team for reaching this milestone. The curriculum features:
- A comprehensive case study project covering all areas of marketing,
- Specialized leadership training, along with the development of soft skills and video presentation skills, and
- Designated Chartered Marketers providing advice and insights to learners in the program.
Credentialling marketers who demonstrate this level of talent is important to the CMA, and to the marketing profession that we support. The designation elevates the profession and strengthens the path to success for marketers because it conveys that the individuals who hold it are well-rounded marketers, operating with a high level of expertise and in accordance with a respected Code of Conduct.
As a result, when the CMA speaks out on a topic, we have the gravitas associated with credentialling the professionals who call themselves “marketers”. That is a strong voice that will carry us into the future.
